Along with being a writer, I’m a full time office worker, mom and wife.
I started writing online in March of 2017 (first published April 2017). My first attempt at writing a novel was back in 2011 (or 2012?) when I started to write a story that is now known as Dead Roses. I never got very far with that attempt.
In April 2017, I published the story that became the Butterflies series on an interactive story app. I published the final chapter October 31, 2017 (so it took just over 6 months to write).
My #1 goal when writing is to entertain my readers. My second goal is to make the reader feel what the characters are feeling at least some of the time. (I mean because while writing, I feel their emotions. I cannot count the number of times I’ve cried when writing certain scenes).
I’m from and live on the East Coast, USA.
Fun Facts About My Writing:
- I don’t write my stories in order. If a conversation or scene pops into my head, I write it down ASAP (sometimes using voice notes) and get back to it later when I have time to fully write it. Of course this means sometimes scenes I write never make it into the story if the story ends up not going there.
- I start with a general outline, then add in the events that will lead the characters where they need to go. This does change at times, like sometimes a character will say something and BAM! it fits and now the story is headed in a slightly different direction.
- I write full bios on all important characters, even if the information never comes up in the story.
- The scenes that I consider my best work flow out naturally and they require few edits/changes.
- If I’m struggling with a scene, I will re-write it from scratch as many times as needed to get it right.
- The Butterflies Series was very easy for me to write. It just flows out naturally.

My novels are published under Platinum Rose Publishing.
