Still Butterflies Is Out!

Still Butterflies was released this past Thursday, August 14, 2025! Yay!

For those that have ordered from me directly, I am still waiting on my stock to come in (I’ve had a lot of issues with the proofs that I did not have with My Butterflies so this is a very unexpected and frustrating delay). To make it up to anyone who orders from me directly, I will be sending you the Still Butterflies ebook via Bookfunnel (to the email address on the order), so you can at least start reading it if you want, as well as throw in some extra goodies when I do ship out your orders. I very much appreciate your patience!

The audiobook will likely be out in September as Laura & Greg are recording it at the end of this month. Keep an eye out on IG for information regarding ALCs closer to it’s release.

Also, please note that My Butterflies will no longer be on Kindle Unlimited as of August 27, 2025. This is likely temporary, however for are multiple reasons I need to take it down from KU for now – all stemming from the fact that I cannot sell or distribute an ebook in any way other than on Amazon if it’s enrolled in KU.

Events

In case anyone is going to Villains & Vixens in Texas in the beginning of September, I will be there as an attendee and would love to say hello.

As a vendor, I will be at:

  • November 23 & December 21, 2025 – Wayne Holiday Craft Fair in Wayne, NJ
  • December 6, 2025 – Winter Wonderland Crafts Fair in Toms River, NJ
  • March 14, 2026 – Books In Bloom in Randolph,NJ

As soon as I can logistically (and financially) go farther away, I will! I’m hoping maybe some Chicago book events next year (I can get there by train so I can drag book stock along with me instead of shipping it).

What’s next?

Since I released Still Butterflies this month, I gave myself a writing break (kind of). But I currently have several books in the works and some special projects. Keep an eye out for news on special projects!

It’s the final countdown…

(Yes, I was literally singing that in my head.)

I can hardly believe we are less than a month from My Butterflies being released. I started writing the novel version of this story only a year ago and now after a year of metaphorical blood and literal sweat & tears, it’s ready to go! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous as all get out.

I have the first five chapters up to read now and you can find them here.

Regarding the pre-order bonus/incentive: If you pre-ordered the book and/or a book box and have not already done so, please complete the age verification form. If you pre-ordered from anywhere besides me, keep your proofs and submit them to this form after you receive your book or the ebook shows up in your library. Pre-Order Bonus!

Time is moving fast and I cannot believe I’m only about a month out from sending My Butterflies ARCs! (If you’re interested but haven’t filled out the form yet, you can find it here.) Anyway, I’m excited to share that I’m offering 2 pre-order bonus options!

  1. My Butterflies Book Box pre-order option: If you pre-order any of the 3 book box options (only on my website), you’ll get some bonus items in your box that will not be available in post-release book boxes at this time. This includes some NSFW/mature/explicit art. In order to receive the NSFW content, you will have to complete this form to confirm you are at least 18 years old. (At the time of this writing, only the ebook and paperback book boxes are available for purchase as I am currently waiting on the final hardcover book for weight in order to calculate the shipping costs, but it should be up on the website within the next week or 2.)   2. Book Boxes Live!

Assuming I set up the store on my website correctly, the My Butterflies Paperback and eBook Book Boxes are now available for pre-order. They will be shipped on or around the book release date (likely before) of October 31, 2024.

Currently, I only have USA shipping available for the book boxes, but if you are international and want one, email me (bevansauthor@gmail.com) and I will add your country (I’ll need your mailing address). It may take me a little bit to figure out the shipping (there’s customs forms and stuff…).

I will have the pre-order for the hardcover book box as soon as I finish this last round of edits and get the hardcover proof so I can figure out the weight for shipping.

My Butterflies Book Box Anyone?

Hey all! I’m excited to announce that I will be releasing a book box for My Butterflies! Specifically, a mystery/adventure/journey box that will make reading the book more immersive.

What does that mean? As you read the book, you’ll come across notes that instructs you, the reader, to open a specific package, envelope, etc… The item will be related to that specific scene in the book.

There will be 3 options:

  1. Paperback option
  2. Hardcover option
  3. ebook/audiobook/already have book option

The physical book versions will include a signed copy of the book. The 3rd version will have a signed bookplate. The physical book versions will also have the reader open the item in the middle of the scene while the 3rd option will instruct the reader to open at the end of a specific chapter as to not spoil anything before you’ve read it.

Regarding pricing, I don’t know yet as I am still working on logistics and the final cost of the book printing. What I can say is the only difference in the price between the 3 options would be the book price (so the cost of the mystery items will be the same regardless of what option you pick). These will be on sale (eventually) through my website, but I’m also still working on those logistics. I’m going to try to set up a pre-order for them, but we’ll see.

Here’s an early announcement before I post it anywhere else! Some online stores are still processing, but My Butterflies ebook is available for pre-order on several online stores like Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, etc… through Draft2Digital https://books2read.com/u/brMPkY, which is an aggregator (meaning I upload to them and they distribute to other online stores/platforms).

Want to be an ARC reader?

Not sure what an ARC reader is? The form explains, but to summarize: ARC means Advance Reader Copy (or Advance Review Copy). An ARC reader gets the book prior to publishing in exchange for an HONEST and FAIR review (if you don’t like the book, so be it). Reviews can be put up on a number of websites, like goodreads, prior to publishing. For Amazon, you have to wait to put up the review until the book is published.

What’s the point? Reviews are CRITICAL to authors and the more they have, the better. So authors give out free copies of the book to entice others to give a HONEST and FAIR review (it’s unethical for authors to expect an automatic good review from an ARC reader, so there’s no pressure there).
